Swimming pigs from Nassau

The swimming pigs near Nassau are on Athol Island, a short boat ride from Paradise Island. Twister Adventure has two private trips that visit them, with Captain Twister at the helm. Snorkel & Pigs is the short one, 2 hours: the pigs, who meet you in shallow water, and a snorkel at Rose Island reef. It costs from $650 for the whole boat, and the captain confirms the price for your group. The Half-Day All-Inclusive adds Gilligan's Island, the turtles and Rose Island beach.

How the day goes

You leave from the dock and the boat runs to the pig beach. The pigs come out to meet you in the shallows, about ankle deep, and there is time for photos. Then you snorkel Rose Island reef among the coral and the tropical fish. On the Half-Day All-Inclusive the day goes on to the turtles and the beach.

Which island

The pigs on these trips live on Athol Island, next to Paradise Island. Many guests just call it Pig Island. The pigs in Exuma are a different, longer trip, quoted on request.

Captain Twister and first mate Ray played great music and went out of their way to find us the sea life.

Celebrity homes, sea turtles, the swimming pigs and a private beach, then lunch at a floating restaurant, with our own music playing.
